Give your young innovator an unforgettable adventure! All-new, hands-on activities will launch their imagination and get their confidence soaring as they explore STEM fun from the oceans to outer space. Read more about what your camper will do each day at camp:

Problem Solving: Campers create a habitat for their own aquatic animal — complete with a symbiotic friend — and prototype the next great aquatic innovation to lure in and hook investors at the fish market.
Confidence: Inspired by real space exploration, children construct a Spacepack, engineer an Astro-Arm device, complete gravity-defying cooking challenges, mine asteroids and observe erupting ice volcanoes.
Creativity: Making exciting connections between science and art, campers build their own robotic artist to make awesome spin art and discover how inventions have changed the way people create.
Persistence: Children experiment with the fun of physics and engineering when they build and test their own mega marble arcade, then take on collaborative challenges to level up their design thinking.

Event Details

After a two-year absence due to the Covid 19 virus, ART ON THE BORDER returns with our annual art show and sale to be held July 22nd and 23rd, 2022. We are excited about the new location of the event in the newly renovated and spacious event center at the ACHE Research Center.

Art patrons and charity supporters will find a host of mediums to admire and purchase. They include oils, pastels, acrylics, watercolor, fiber, hand-blown glass, jewelry, sculptures, gourds, digitally enhanced photographs, wood turning and baskets, high quality prints as well as originals. Art on the Border grew from 14 artists in 2014 to 60+ in 2019. We are expecting 65+ this year. That list will be provided by end of May.

Funds for these local charities are generated through sponsorship, donations, and sale of the artworks.

Honorary Hosts will be Susan and Sam Fiori, strong supporters of the arts and all good things in Fort Smith.

The event kicks off Friday evening with the “Show Opening Meet the Artists” reception, 5:00 – 9:00. This offers sponsors, former buyers, charity supporters, interested newcomers, invited guests and art collectors the opportunity to meet the artists and first choice of purchase while they sip and mingle. Saturday morning the doors open to the public for free to enjoy and shop from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
